The endless loading circle in Nokia Store [resolved]

12
Nokia Store "infected" itself with an annoying bug. Whenever you want to read existing reviews of an application, you end up seeing an endless loading circle instead. Therefore reading reviews isn't possible anymore using the mobile version of Nokia Store. The problem seems not to be caused by PR1.3 and has already been reported before launch of the latest N9 update.

For application users (especially buyers) it's a nice feature and sometimes even important to read reviews  written by people who already used an application or add-on. In addition to that, developers use reviews to improve their applications or find out how users respond to them.

We can only hope that Nokia fixes that problem as soon as possible since a working application store is an important element of a smartphone. Once we wrote Nokia an email about the issue we got following respond (thank you Nokia Publish Support for the fast answer):

"We received the email below. I would like to inform you that we are aware of the issues related to the N9 and the Store reviews. A fix is planned for this.
Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Should you have any other questions or concerns, please feel free to ask."

After all it is still possible to write reviews, so don't miss out and rate applications you use with stars or a little review. Reviews can still be read by using store.ovi.com.

    3. Ok now I understand :) Yes Nokia Store is unfortunately very buggy... hopefully those issues are an indication that we soon get a new version of the store - hope dies last.

  2. Common Nokia pls fix that soon! It's been a prob since too long! Not acceptable! Did E(f)lop fire everyone who knows how to code and fix such problems? Nokia Store used to be great for couple years, now it really sucks. Almost as much as Microsoft and their idiotic dumb-phones.

    1. Yes, I think that's right. Nokia kicked all the stuff who knew about MEEGO and left us N9 users in the lurch!

  3. Yes, far too long to endure this kind of service, Nokia is fast losing customers this way, a fren of mine switched to ios saying "it just works"

    1. That's true - for me MeeGo is a much better system than iOS, but with iOS everything is simple and it works + iTunes is a solution working on PC and OSX (compared to Nokia Suite). It's really a pity how the Nokia management is messing up and forgetting about important core points which satisfy customers.

    2. I just downloaded Toggle PSM solely on AllBoutN9's depiction, not knowing the rewiews could be read again. It feels nice to see there is still someone catering for the N9 at Nokia.
